“Distance can ruin even the best of intentions.
But I suppose it depends on how you look at it.
Distance just adds a richness you would not otherwise get.
People come. People go. They will drift in and out of your life, almost like characters in a favorite book.
When you finally close the cover, the characters have told their stories and you start up again with another book, complete with new characters and adventures. Then you find yourself focusing on the new ones. Not the ones from the past.”
― Nicholas Sparks, The Rescue
It is April 12, in the last year before the millennium,
and as I leave my house, I glance around. The sky is overcast
and gray, but as I move down the street, I notice that the
dogwoods and azaleas are blooming. I zip my jacket just a
little. The temperature is cool, though I know it’s only a
matter of weeks before it will settle in to something
comfortable and the gray skies give way to the kind of days
that make North Carolina one of the most beautiful places in
the world. With a sigh, I feel it all coming back to me. I
close my eyes and the years begin to move in reverse, slowly
ticking backward, like the hands of a clock rotating in the
wrong direction. As if through someone else’s eyes, I watch
myself grow younger; I see my hair changing from gray tobrown, I feel the wrinkles around my eyes begin to smooth, my
arms and legs grow sinewy. Lessons I’ve learned with age grow
dimmer, and my innocence returns as that eventful year
25 of February 2014 was my birthday. Yep I’m turning 19 now. I’m so grateful to have these dreams and memories for my whole lives. And the important, I have so much wishes to be come true in the following years. Oh yeah I got something unpredictable thing on my birthday haha. As you can see, that picture I post was my only one birthday present I’ve got on this year and its also from the special person ; my one and only little sister. Honestly I was shocked and flattering when she gave me this miniature. THIS WAS SO AWESOME!” aaah I can’t describe it in any words though, Literally it just only made my day much better. I love it so much, actually I was craving to buy this thing but yeah I know I just passed it and forget all that thing but but but my sister gave this great Big Ben.
LOVE YOU MY SISTER <3 xx
